Calendar and place context
This alpha adds read-only Google Calendar context and derives place names from event locations, with explicit boundaries around Microsoft 365 and location history.
Highlights
Read the next 14 days of calendar context on demand; event reads are bounded and local.
Place names are derived from unique calendar locations; no continuous location history is collected.
Reminder list scoping and local Contacts reading from alpha.19 are included.
Microsoft 365 is shown explicitly as not configured rather than presented as connected.
Calendar and places
Calendar context is read through the existing Google credentials only when you choose Read calendar.
Each account is isolated; failures are reported without exposing another account.
Places are derived from event locations and kept local to the app.
Alpha boundaries
This is an alpha release candidate and has not received technical sign-off for the broader alpha.15 program.
This alpha tightens native source access: Reminders are limited to the lists you choose, Contacts can be read locally, and Jai can read exactly the workspace sources you attach.
Highlights
Reminders access is scoped to selected lists, with a clear list picker after authorization.
Authorized Contacts are read locally for matching; names are never uploaded.
Jai can list and read explicitly attached workspace sources through bounded workspace tools.
The Communications redesign, WhatsApp QR pairing, native permissions and workspace source API from alpha.18 are included.
Scoped sources
After Reminders permission is granted, Sources & privacy lists the available reminder lists. The app reads only the lists you check.
Commitments explains when no reminder lists have been selected instead of silently reading every list.
Contacts access is read-only and local; only counts and matching metadata are surfaced.
Workspace sources
Conversations you attach to a workspace stay explicit and revocable.
Jai reads the attached source through the workspace read bridge; hosted shares fall back to the Platform source API when available.
Alpha boundaries
This is an alpha release candidate and has not received technical sign-off for the broader alpha.15 program.
Native Messages/WhatsApp sync still uses the existing Comms index pipeline.
Hosted member verification, Microsoft 365 and Places remain follow-up work.

Communications, connected
This alpha brings the source-led Communications experience: private sources, native permissions, read-only commitments, and explicit workspace sharing.
Highlights
An Inbox, Needs attention, Commitments and Shared layout with Sources and privacy as an explicit setup surface.
Native permission onboarding for Messages and Reminders/Contacts, plus in-app WhatsApp QR pairing.
Read-only reminders in Commitments; Jai can read conversations you explicitly attach to a workspace.
Hosted workspace sources can be published owner-only or for workspace members, with a pending state when sync is unavailable.
Sources and permissions
No source permission is requested before you choose to connect it. Each source explains what is read, what stays local, and how to revoke it.
Messages access is checked through macOS Full Disk Access; Reminders and Contacts use the bundled native helper; WhatsApp pairs as a linked device with a QR code shown only on this Mac.
Source data stays in the private local index unless you explicitly attach a conversation to a workspace or approve Gmail AI classification.
Reading and commitments
The Inbox is a three-pane reader with source filters, coverage notes, and the existing attention workflow.
Commitments shows pending reminders from lists you approve. The app cannot complete or edit them.
People and Projects & topics remain available from the Inbox rail.
Workspace sources
Select one conversation, preview it, and attach it to the active workspace with an explicit confirmation.
Owner-only copies stay private to you on this Mac. Hosted workspaces can publish text-only copies for named workspace members; failed sync is shown as pending.
Detach removes the workspace source. Hosted copies are revoked first when a hosted share exists.
Alpha boundaries
This is an alpha release candidate and has not received technical sign-off for the broader alpha.15 program.
Native Messages/WhatsApp sync still uses the existing Comms index pipeline; contacts currently contributes authorization state only.
Hosted member reader, authenticated production verification, Microsoft 365 and Places remain follow-up work.

Updates now find you
The desktop app now checks the public release feed at startup and every six hours, so a newer signed installer is visible without hunting through release pages.
Highlights
Automatic release checks surface a newer build in the app and open the download page.
The check is bounded, HTTPS-only, and fails closed when the feed is offline or malformed.
Installation remains manual: the app never downloads or replaces itself silently.
Existing workspaces, settings, credentials, and Comms data are retained when replacing the app.
How the check works
At launch and then every six hours, the app reads the public release feed and compares its signed version with the installed version.
A newer build shows the update banner; the download button opens the website installer page.
No token, workspace credential, or private source data is sent with the check.
Upgrade from alpha.16 or alpha.15
Quit the app, open the new DMG, and replace the app in Applications. The rebuilt-app profile and Comms data stay in place.
Data from the earlier pre-rebuild desktop app remains separate and is not automatically migrated.
The update check does not change workspace permissions, sign-in grants, or local index files.
Alpha boundaries
This is an alpha release candidate. It has not received technical sign-off for the broader alpha.15 program.
The Comms TypeScript flags remain opt-in and Gmail AI classification still requires explicit consent.
Source sync still refreshes the app-owned index from the established local pipeline.

A faster, safer foundation
This alpha rebuilds the desktop app on a newer upstream foundation, with a refreshed Jai runtime, safer permission handling, and a signed, notarized installer.
Highlights
A faster build and startup foundation under the same workspace experience.
A refreshed Jai runtime and safer handling of untrusted project configuration.
Private Comms work continues behind opt-in flags, including owner-private memory and Enterprise client sharing.
A signed, notarized, stapled, and Gatekeeper-accepted installer for Apple silicon Macs.
Upgrade from alpha.15
Quit the app, open the DMG, and replace the app in Applications. Existing rebuilt-app workspaces, settings, and credentials are retained.
Data from the earlier pre-rebuild desktop app remains separate; it is not automatically migrated.
Updates remain manual. The app opens the private release page for download rather than replacing itself.
What changed
The desktop foundation now follows the upstream v0.2.0 alpha line with a smaller and faster build.
The bundled Jai runtime is refreshed, permission readiness is explicit before prompts run, and untrusted project configuration is handled more conservatively.
The workspace, pages, files, Jai, and private Comms surfaces keep their existing navigation and local data.
Comms and privacy
The in-app Comms TypeScript engine and its local write path remain opt-in behind environment flags; the existing bridge remains the fallback.
Gmail AI classification requires explicit, revocable consent before any message content is sent for classification.
Owner-private memory push requires an explicit review and approval in the conversation; Enterprise client sharing remains owner-approved and signed.
Alpha boundaries
This is an alpha release candidate. It has not received technical sign-off for the broader alpha.15 program or a production-readiness claim.
Connected workspace, live model, microphone, reconnect, and multi-device checks remain pilot gates; normal and narrow packaged launch and secure-storage restart passed for this installer.
Private Comms flags are not enabled by default, and source sync still refreshes the app-owned index from the established local pipeline.

Choose a workspace and get started
This alpha brings the advisor first-run path into one flow: verify your account, enter an advisor code, choose a demo workspace, and connect the EvaNeT app.
Highlights
Join the shared Travel Demo and read-only Blank Demo with a verified advisor account.
Choose which authorized workspace the app opens first, and see its access and version state before connecting.
Work with synthetic Travel clients and trips while keeping workspace permissions in place.
First run and workspace access
A verified account can enter its advisor invitation code, review the available workspaces, and explicitly connect the app to the selected one.
Travel Demo is shared and editable for members. Blank Demo is read-only for viewers. Access to other workspaces is not included with the advisor code.
The app displays the selected workspace and its reported model or Blueprint version without treating an unverified release as verified.
Alpha boundaries
This owner-directed alpha release candidate is for hands-on testing, not a production-ready app. Release Gates 3–5 have not received technical sign-off. Access requires a verified EvaNeT account and the appropriate grant.
Customer-facing public booking availability is deferred. The Blueprint authoring preview and experimental model references are not installed product releases.
Live Gmail consent was not completed for this release; connecting a Gmail mailbox is not part of this release sign-off.
Existing local data from the earlier desktop app is not automatically migrated. Quit the app before replacing an existing installation.

A more useful conversation with Jai
The rebuilt app now gives Jai clearer workspace context and a simpler conversation view. Ask about your clients, review a trip, or understand how your workspace works without navigating technical controls.
Highlights
Ask Jai about permitted client and trip records directly from a conversation.
Keep everyday chat focused, with technical details available when you need them.
Get more focused client briefs and itinerary reviews that distinguish plans from confirmed outcomes.
Find clearer workspace settings, record search, and fee and payment forms.
Conversations that know where you are
Jai receives fresh context for the selected workspace on each turn, including the page or record in view when you send your message.
Client questions can use permitted business records directly. Itinerary reviews can identify gaps and questions to resolve without treating missing evidence as a confirmed fact.
You can still ask how the workspace is organized and explore more advanced tools. Permission controls and review of proposed record changes remain in place.
A simpler place to work
Conversation details stay compact, and technical controls are available on demand.
Workspace configuration is organized into focused settings, with record, page and file search.
Travel overview and record navigation are clearer. Fee and payment dialogs keep their actions visible in smaller windows.

We rebuilt the EvaNeT app
A rebuilt desktop experience brings your workspaces, pages, files, and Jai together with clearer navigation and more room for the work. The new release candidate is ready for early testing on Mac.
Highlights
Keep pages, files, and connected records together in the workspace you choose.
See progress at a glance, then open an item for its details and history.
Plan trips with clearer itineraries, booking status, and recognizable activity icons.
Work with Jai in a more compact panel and review proposed record changes before they are applied.
A clearer place to work
Reusable page layouts bring relevant records and working notes into one view.
Trips, clients, and people have focused pages with details available when you need them.
The file intake flow lets you review names, categories, and destinations before saving a batch.
Try the release candidate
Download the signed and notarized installer for Apple silicon Macs running macOS 12 or newer.
Workspace access requires your EvaNeT account and permission to join the selected workspace. Jai also needs a configured model connection.
Install the rebuilt app separately. Existing local data is not automatically moved from the earlier app.
Early testing
This is an alpha release candidate. Full workspace-join, reconnect, and multi-device acceptance testing is still in progress.
Startup, local page recovery, secure-storage restart, and compact window layouts passed packaged-app checks.
Invitation review currently omits the workspace name; confirm the intended workspace with your administrator. Removed workspace access may display a sign-in prompt.
The earlier desktop releases are archived for reference while we focus on the rebuilt app.

Draft-first workspace records
EvaNeT Desktop now turns the workspace catalog into a governed, draft-first workspace where people and Jai can propose changes, review the exact diff, and approve or reject them without bypassing workspace policy.
Highlights
Expose only the create, update, archive, restore, action, and transition operations granted by the connected workspace.
Stage record changes as durable drafts with an exact field diff, proposer, approval requirement, status, and target record.
Let authorized reviewers approve or reject a proposal after the service rechecks capability, fields, record revision, and reviewer authority.
Give Jai the same governed draft path without allowing direct writes or self-approval.
Draft-first records
Record detail shows relationships, blockers, and only the state-changing operations supported for that entity and workspace grant.
Every proposal enters one review queue with its before-and-after values and complete audit context.
Rejected drafts leave the source record unchanged; approved drafts apply only after a fresh authorization and conflict check.
Hard delete remains unavailable, and read-only entities intentionally show no editing controls.
Jai and workspace safety
Jai can stage a reviewable draft for the record in view but cannot silently apply or approve its own proposal.
The selected workspace credential determines the visible catalog, records, operations, and approval authority.
Credentials remain in macOS Keychain and native process boundaries; drafts contain business changes and audit metadata, never bearer credentials.
Reliability
The native shell establishes the authenticated loopback browser session before opening the workspace page.
Production qualification now verifies the signed app against the live workspace catalog, row, detail, and draft contract before publication continues.
The signed and notarized Apple silicon build passed clean-install qualification, embedded Chromium and WebKit smoke tests, live workspace draft verification, and Gatekeeper assessment.

Workspace tasks for people and agents
EvaNeT Desktop now brings the workspace’s real data and one unified task system together, with clear ownership, richer planning views, and machine-assigned work that can start a session and report its outcome.
Highlights
Browse authenticated, multi-vertical workspace data directly inside EvaNeT Desktop.
Plan the same canonical tasks in Board, List, Tree, Calendar, and Gantt views.
Assign work from a workspace-scoped directory of people, teams, and machine agents instead of entering opaque assignee IDs.
Start machine-owned work as an execution session and keep its progress, result, and evidence attached to the task.
Tasks and ownership
Task cards and details show the assignee’s display name, type, priority, hierarchy, schedule, and current workflow state.
The task editor searches only assignees available to the connected workspace and validates machine agents against the runtime roster.
Parent and child work stays visible across the board, list, tree, calendar, and Gantt surfaces without creating a second task system.
Workflow lanes are distinct from execution state, so “In Progress” reflects the task while active runs remain inspectable on their own.
Machine work and Jai
Running a machine-assigned task starts its owning session with the task prompt and records the execution link on the task.
Sessions can report a completed or failed outcome with a summary and evidence, keeping the board grounded in the actual run.
Jai can use the connected workspace’s authorized task tools to create, update, run, and inspect work without crossing workspace boundaries.
Workspace records and reliability
Connected workspaces open their real multi-vertical composition instead of a Recorder-only or placeholder surface.
Workspace collections are selectable and load their allowlisted records in a read-only workspace view.
Workspace credentials renew and persist more reliably across relaunches, reducing unnecessary reconnect prompts.
Verified
The signed and notarized build passed clean-install qualification, embedded Chromium and WebKit smoke tests, Gatekeeper assessment, and live workspace assignment verification.

A reliable first launch for Developer and Recorder
This hotfix makes EvaNeT Desktop work on a clean Mac: Developer opens without an authentication dead end, and Recorder installs its local transcription model when it is first needed.
Highlights
Open Developer on a new installation without seeing a raw local authentication page.
Let Recorder download and verify its local transcription model with visible progress on first use.
Reuse the verified model across relaunches without repeating setup.
Keep all of the meeting capture, live transcript, playback, workspace filing, Jai, and Task Board improvements from beta.3.
Fixed
Developer now passes its short-lived loopback session credential internally, so a clean browser profile opens the workspace instead of an authentication error.
Recorder automatically downloads the pinned transcription model when no model is installed, validates its checksum, and only enables recording after the model is ready.
Interrupted or invalid model downloads stay unusable and can be retried safely instead of leaving Recorder stuck on “Preparing”.
Verified
The signed and notarized build was tested from clean EvaNeT app data with no legacy Scribe model.
Developer, first-use Recorder setup, model reuse after relaunch, signing, notarization, Gatekeeper, and the embedded Chromium and WebKit runtimes passed release qualification.

Record meetings privately on your Mac
EvaNeT Recorder can capture your microphone and meeting audio, show a live local transcript, and file a reviewed transcript to the workspace you choose.
Highlights
Open Recorder from any EvaNeT context and capture your microphone plus audio playing through your Mac.
Follow live speech activity and a timestamped transcript, then play the recording back in sync.
Keep recordings private on your Mac until you review and file a transcript to an authorized workspace.
Optionally use EvaNeT Link Beta with Google Meet captions to add participant names.
Let Jai create, run, and complete Task Board work with the result linked to its execution session.
New
Recorder is available across Developer projects and EvaNeT workspaces without changing the active conversation.
Microphone and Mac audio are captured together, with the selected input and output shown before recording.
Live transcription, synchronized playback, and reviewed workspace filing are built into the Recorder window.
The optional EvaNeT Link Beta browser extension can match Google Meet caption timing to remote participant names.
Improved
The Recorder is more compact, keeps audio settings collapsed until needed, and shows clear listening, recording, and saved states.
Transcript rows distinguish you from meeting audio and show a participant name only when the available evidence is strong enough.
Tasks and Jai
Jai and execution sessions can use the same Task Board tools to create, update, run, and inspect work.
A task reaches Done only after its owning session reports the goal outcome with a summary and concrete evidence; otherwise it is marked Failed.
Task details open on a concise Overview, with scheduling, runtime, permissions, analytics, and session-link controls moved to Advanced.
Old session links now show a clear unavailable state instead of breaking the Task Board.
Fixed
Silence and isolated audio impulses no longer create repeated filler such as “and” or punctuation-only transcript rows.
The bundled transcription engine preserves partial live speech, closes recording files cleanly, and keeps playback timing aligned.
Recorder and computer-control lifecycle handling is more resilient across repeated use and app restarts.
Privacy
Audio and transcription stay on the Mac while recording and are not visible to a workspace until you explicitly file the reviewed transcript.
EvaNeT Link Beta communicates with the desktop app through an authenticated loopback connection on the same computer.

Review a proposed message before Jai sends it to a session.
Open workspace files inside EvaNeT and keep recent conversation context close at hand.
Capture and correct personal memory with clearer confirmation and fewer duplicate facts.
New
A session directory gives Jai bounded awareness of the work already happening across EvaNeT.
Approval cards show exactly what Jai plans to send before it reaches another session.
A dedicated What’s new menu links each desktop update to its public release note.
Improved
Conversation history opens at the newest messages while older messages remain available on demand.
Document links use EvaNeT’s in-app viewer when possible and make external navigation explicit.
Related personal facts are consolidated into a more useful profile instead of accumulating as isolated fragments.
Fixed
Chat and voice requests now share a valid session contract.
Voice calls can be started and ended consistently.
Memory requests instruct Jai to use the memory tools before confirming that a fact was saved.
